Message from the President



On behalf of the Raymond Area Chamber of Commerce, its members and our Board of Directors….Welcome to our Chamber and our website!

It is with great pleasure that I am able to serve in the Presidential capacity for this chamber. Together, with all other Board Members, we will continue to transition our chamber into a fine-tuned organization within our community.   I look forward to the upcoming challenges and opportunities that arise.  I am very proud of the role this chamber plays in supporting local businesses.

This chamber offers great value to local business.  Currently, we offer great membership pricing, networking opportunities with our Morning Mixers and Business After Hours Events, which are both free to host and attend, website and social media marketing, member-to-member discounts, annual business expo and much more.  During my tenure in this position, I have already made strides in creating more value for our members by recommending new committees within our group.  These new committees will provide members with more options for membership by building a selection of pricing tiers, they will also provide marketing tools to promote their business through welcome packets, mailer newsletters, website and more.  Not to mention, the local community will be able to better identify local area businesses that suite their needs.  By working together to create an effective and purposeful business climate, we can grow and prosper.

Over the past several months, a few of my main focuses were directed to coordinating chamber events and developing our web and social media content.  Our annual Business Expo was completely revamped. There were some key learning’s from that change, and they will be well incorporated into the planning process of our next expo event. The chamber website was completely redesigned for a more comfortable and appealing look for community members seeking information, or other prospective members. Also, more areas for potential member marketing was incorporated into the design. The social media aspect of the chamber demanded much attention.  Today, social media is of key importance in our day-to-day operations.  Our Facebook and LinkedIn pages were dormant, and completely transformed.  We have acquired a favorable amount of new followers, generated new leads & members, and we are able to better identify ourselves to the community through simple and cost effective marketing campaigns through this venue. 

I am excited to reach out to all members and ask for feedback on your expectations of the chamber, and what comments and suggestion you may have for us to better promote and serve the local business community. Alike, please reach out to me at any time to offer more comments and suggestions.

I look forward to working with everyone who is associated with this chamber, and wish another successful year to all local businesses encompassed within our marketing area.
