The Collaborative Business Connection (CBC) will be hosting the Greater Raymond Area Chamber of Commerce....Marilyn Elliott and Carolyn Matthews, from the Board of Directors of the Raymond Voter Information Project. They will provide Chamber members with a brief history of the organization, including its goals and objectives. Emphasis will be on the three-step editorial process used to create an annual voters' guide to local elections, and on opportunities for Chamber members to actively participate in the editorial process, support voter education in Raymond, and help spread the model of factual, objective reporting on election issues to their communities.
Members of the Raymond Voter Information Project come from a broad range of careers and municipal experience, and have many personal viewpoints. However, within Raymond VIP, they are committed to neither support nor oppose any political party, candidate or warrant article and to focus on providing objective voter information. Raymond VIP is registered with the State of New Hampshire and with the Town Of Raymond as a nonprofit corporation and a charitable trust. We are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are fully tax deductible.
Our primary emphasis is on showing the pros and cons of warrant articles which certainly do impact the business community; however, we do not advocate for one side or the other.
This is open to the public and reservation can be done online or by calling the Chamber at 895-2254. Members are free and non-members are $5.00.
